Primitive Bow Making

AGES 8-14

From the very popular Primitive Teachings camp comes a new addition focusing on the ancient art of bow-making. Under the close guidance of Michael Sottosanti participants will learn how to transform an ordinary tree into a functional bow. It will require a lot of hard work, but at the end of the week, they will take great pride in the bow they have created. The use and importance of the bow to native American cultures will be discussed as the project progresses. Other related primitive skill topics may be explored as time allows. All materials are provided.
