Primitive Teachings
AGES 8-12
Probably one of the most unique camps offered in the area. Through a lifetime of learning, Michael Sottosanti is one of only a few remaining individuals with an in-depth practical knowledge of the lost Native American lifestyle. Spend quality time in the woods learning hands-on essential living skills including tracking, building shelters, building small traps, fishing, stalking, fire making, and tool making among other things! Topics covered this week are determined by the interests of the group. You will leave this camp with a new confidence in your ability to be more self-sufficient when you find yourself outdoors by choice or by need. Michael is unique in that he continues to live this way for months at a time and is an invaluable resource in passing on this human tradition. Don’t miss the Optional Campout night! This night will be Wednesday or Thursday depending on weather & schedules. Details & pack list will be provided.
